 Welcome to the Madsen Music School. Founded by Juno Award Nominee Chris Madsen in 1980, the Madsen Music School is now owned and operated by his daughter Shara Madsen. The school is located on Kal Lake road in beautiful Vernon, British Columbia. Shara's mom, Sue Madsen, is an important member of the team as bookkeeper and general manager.
The Madsen Music School employs 11 of Vernon's most experienced and talented music teachers and has hundreds of students come through its doors each week. The Madsen Music School puts on several concerts throughout the year where the students can showcase their talents. We also have a small music store for the convenience of our students.
Whether you just want to strum a few chords around the campfire or become a professional musician, the Madsen Music School is the place for you.

School Hours
The office is open Monday through Friday from 2pm until 6pm.
The school is open for music lessons Monday through Friday from 2pm until 9:30pm. Some teachers are willing to teach earlier in the afternoon.

| In order to have a 40 lesson regular semester, there are lessons on some holidays. Lessons are monthly at a given time slot. A months lessons= 4 lessons. |

Policies

Two weeks notice minimum is required for students stopping lessons.

If the teacher must miss a lesson a make-up lesson is given.

If the student must miss a lesson a call to the school is appreciated.

There are various school concerts throughout the year. Students are encouraged to participate
- Payment must be arranged ahead of time for the year ahead. Post dated chques are popular but other methods inlude VISA, MasterCard, Debit or Cash. Paying one lesson at a time is not an option due to the large number of students.
